I need to replace my chain. What size / type do I need?

We recommend a KMC 9-speed chain - these normally come as 114 links but it will need to be shortened depending on the gearing on your FLIT (see below).

This is pretty easy to do if you've got a chain breaker tool, or any bike shop will be able to do this for you.

FLIT-16
9T rear sprocket + 38T chainring = 100 links
9T rear sprocket + 44T chainring = 102 links

FLIT M2
11T rear sprocket + 44T chainring = 100 links - standard until May 2026
11T rear sprocket + 48T chainring = 102 links
12T rear sprocket + 48T chainring = 102 links - standard from June 2026
12T rear sprocket + 52T chainring = 104 links
13T rear sprocket + 52T chainring = 104 links
