How to lubricate the chain

How to lubricate the chain

It is a good idea to clean and re-lubricate your bike regularly.

We recommend you re-lubricate the chain regularly for smooth pedalling.

First remove the old lubricant with degreaser, by carefully turning the pedals backwards and spraying at the upper surface of the return (lower) run of the chain, and then wiping the chain clean.

When the chain is dry, reapply either wet or dry chain lubricant to the chain, again turning the pedals backwards and aiming the lubrication into the rollers, removing excess with another rag. Do this at least every 6 months.
