Are FLIT bikes compatible with a larger chainrings?
Yes, FLIT bikes are compatible with a range of chainrings and rear sprockets depending on the model:
FLIT-16
The standard gearing is 38T on the front and 9T on the rear.
40T or 42T chainrings can also be used, but the chain should be lengthened by a link pair if so.
FLIT M2
Originally shipped with 44T on the front and 11T on the rear, with the option to increase the front to 48T if a link pair was added to the chain.
In summer 2026 we switched to 48T on the front and 12T on the rear as standard.
If you would like a bigger chainring on the front of the M2 let us know and we'll help to get the sorted.
If you are unsure, we recommend trying the original chainring first and then ordering and fitting a new chainring yourself.
